aringdon Twinning Association was originally set up in 1990. Le Mele sur Sarthe, in Normandy, was already twinned with a town in Germany (Falkenstein), but they wanted to establish a relationship with an English town.  There were some preliminary visits before the official twinning charter was signed.

We are a very busy and active twinning group with trips in both directions each year, sports and other interest groups, reciprocal youth visits, opportunites for work experience, and ad hoc visits.
